West Bend 82505 Stir Crazy Electric Hot Oil Popcorn Popper Machine

The West Bend Stir Crazy Electric Hot Oil Popcorn Popper Machine is one of my favorite popcorn poppers. In fact, this is my go-to product when I want to buy a shower or wedding gift for someone.  You may be asking if it’s one of my favorites, why not 5 kernels?  Although it makes great tasting popcorn and is easy to use, I have a few complaints with it.  First, endurance.  Now I know most users won’t pop 3-4 batches a day like I do sometimes, but this popper doesn’t seems to last longer than 9 months for me.  The small stirring rod eventually comes loose and will need to be screwed in tighter to stay in place.  Second, if you make back to back batches of popcorn the handles on the side get hot requiring the use of a towel to flip the popper once the kernels are done popping.  All this aside, it remains my everyday popcorn popper and I own more than one.
